And what a finish it was for the season and the fight over the playoff spots. Joe Bukowski finishes in the top spot on the season with a 20 win season while Phia and Joe Barrett fall in right behind with 19 wins. Phia ends up taking the Scoring Crown with his record setting season of 1726.2 pts for a 132.78 pts/g average. Kevin, Travis, and Nick round out the top six and the other 2 & 3 seeds in their respective conferences.
The 4th seed in both Conferences came down to a nail biter. Cory in the South Conference sneaks into the playoffs while Ryan is going to be watching from the sidelines. Cory maintained the tie-breaker over Ryan but Ryan lost one of his final matchups of the year by .8 points. In the North conference the 4th seed goes to Brandon while he takes the tie-breaker over Paige. The difference in this Conference was that Paige admittedly forgot to set her lineup which had 2 players score 39 points a piece and another over 20 sitting on her bench. Swapping in those spots would have helped overcome her final loss of the season and punched her ticket for the chance at the championship.
Cory, Travis, and Brandon are back in the playoffs again this year and proving to be tough competitors during the season. Cory and Brandon are looking to get out of the first round this year while Travis is wanting to get redeem himself on losing the championship. I'll be doing a full review of the season once the playoffs are over.
Here's how the playoff bracket shapes up:
